PRODUCT STORY
Melanie says: I used to be a professional dancer. After a career-ending injury, I wasn't able to walk for months. I started doing origami, the art of paper folding. It's something I did as a kid, I have always been a creative person and without having the ability to dance I needed a creative outlet to keep my spirits up. I started experimenting with designs that you could wear and soon I was making wearable paper art for family and friends. I make all of my jewelry from recycled magazines and coat them with a waterproof sealer for durability.

Hand-folded magazine pages are covered with a waterproof sealer.

Melanie's Leaf Earrings are stunning! We love that she made use of recycled magazine pages into wearable jewelry. What do you think of these earrings?

These are lovely !! I never knew you could make oragami jewelry, especially so fancy. Dainty but just right for everyday wear. The eco friendliness is an added plus !

Melanie's jewelry are amazing works of art! I'm hoping for a clip on line for those of use with non-pierced ears. Many women of color like myself cannot pierce our ears because of skin that has a tendency to keloid.

These are so pretty, and I am taking a ballet class myself and love jewelry making. I am not that good at paper folding myself. I prefer to use wire for my jewelry.
