PRODUCT STORY
Ryan says: What inspires me are tattered walls that have been layered with a hundred years of wallpaper and paint. The love of that texture, it sparks me to use paper in my paintings. I create each work with recycled newsprint, old catalogs, journals, diaries and any type of old paper that can give the work balance. I paint nostalgic subject matter that I think is fun and whimsical as art should be.

I have been painting in this technique for 12 years. I want and would love to encourage people to have something on their walls that is fun and unique. Art doesn't have to be stuffy.

Ryan uses recycled paper from the 1900's to create his masterpieces. What do you think about the 1894 Racer?

Love this one! It is one of the very first racing bikes, I could imagine it being cutting edge... in 1894.

This is one of my favorites - love how it is literally moving off the canvas! And the use of old bicycle ads to texture the painting is amazing!

I like the material, the process and the finished product. If the question, however, is "Would I buy?" -- that's an entirely different rationale. I don't want to diminish the artist's talent, but I have to be honest about my own budget for art.

I was amazed that bicycles could look so sharp back then. I also liked how Ryan had the word BICYCLES easy to read over the wheel. That word held my attention for a bit.
