Natasha says: The Crescent Necklace is hand stamped and hand cut from earthenware clay, fired twice in a kiln and then made into a necklace. The crescent was meant to be a different shape but destined to be a crescent. It's made with of my two favorite metal pieces that I used to create the design in the clay. I rolled out a slab of clay and began stamping and cutting out shapes; it happened to be a piece that I was discarding from another design I was working on. Before balling it up for the scrap pile I saw a unique shape that caught my eye, as I stared at it for a few moments I decided to make another cut that would give it the crescent shape. A few more added details and I was happy with the results. I added a little color with glaze and there you have it!
