PRODUCT STORY
Zsuzsanna says: My main focus at Roots in Rust is to create planters and other functional home decor out of unexpected objects and mostly in unexpected shapes. I use old window frames from demolished buildings, mainly from Brooklyn brownstones and Pennsylvanian farms. I purchase the frames from a small business specializing in taking apart farm buildings in Pennsylvania, and from a demolition company in Brooklyn. These frames would normally be headed for the landfill.

We think Zsuzsanna's reclaimed wood Floating Windows are a great way to really make air plants pop. Would you display your indoor greenery in this design?

This is really cool! I wonder if I could actually keep a plant alive this way... I tend to have a black thumb...

Angela - thank you for voting. The plants are very easy to maintain, perfect for brown or black thumbs! All you have to do is rinse them thoroughly once a week (or twice if the air is really dry), provide them with light and air, and you are all set!
