Thanks for the kind words Laura. We use a high-quality marine-grade finish on all of the fenders. The stuff we use has protected wood on crab boats in Alaska for 4 years without maintenance!

I love, love, love wood and really like it that this is not only a product made with REcycled material but that it is so visually pleasing.

These are really neat looking fenders! Beautiful! Nice to know they're coated with marine grade finishes. I think they'd be pretty durable. Any chance they could be made slightly wider to encompass the tire a bit more? Just a thought. Love these!

Thanks Allison! In fact, we stock 2 different widths that fits wheels up to 1.5". We have the capability to make fenders as wide as 3 inches. Let us know what you need, and we can make it happen.

Thanks for the interest Renee. We use a marine-grade waterproof finish, so water beads up and runs off like a ducks back. We understand the torture fenders go through when protecting you and your ride... so every component we choose is the highest quality to resist water, rust, and anything else the road can throw at you

Hi Sasha. Read the product story. "These are solid wood fenders made from reclaimed wood from the Seattle area. We saved the wood from the dump or a burn pile..." As a matter of fact we are doing the opposite of wasting wood... we are saving it!
