PRODUCT STORY
These colorful creatures are handcrafted by a family-run, artisan collective based in Zimbabwe and are positivity packed with wild style! The creation of these tin animals ensures that the expressive techniques used are passed from elders to the next generation of crafters.

The artisans snip, shape, and connect malleable sheets of tin into wild animals found in their native country, including the nzou (elephant, in their native Shona language), shumba (lion), twiza (giraffe), and chipembere (rhino). Their metal artworks are then finished with coats of vibrant paint rich with distinct patterns. Nestle them between your books, or prop them on dressers, tables, and desks to bring the excitement of an African safari to your home. Handmade in Zimbabwe.

We're absolutely wild about these handmade tin sculptures. We love the colors, the shapes, and, of course, the delightful animal shapes. Which of these beautiful beasts is your favorite?

I like these but I would be concerned about the safety of the metal and the paint since I'm sure kids will love them too.

I am in LOVE with that elephant. My only question would be if they would have to be as a set, separately, or both?

Glad you like them, Elinore! They would each be sold separately.

Love that they're made in Africa - colors are so eye catching and something that lots of kids can play with. Do NOT like the elephant trunk though, it's very snake-y.
