I gave it thubs down 'cause it doesn't seem to have easy cleaning mechanism and also no bird perch.

Thanks for the feedback, Carolyn. While the bird house doesn't have a traditional perch, the lip of the opening does stick out a bit to give the birds a place to land. You can click on the alternate image (below the main image) for a better look. The piece includes a rubber stopper in the bottom for cleaning.

Thanks for all the comments and feedback about my bird house and the good questions. This bird house has a removable 2 1/2" rubber stopper in the bottom for clean out. It also has small holes in the back for ventilation. I do not use perches on my bird houses. A perch could give a larger predator bird a place to balance. I've watched the birds flying into these houses while tending their young. They are very careful and never use the same route. They fly directly in without hesitation. I was kind of surprised the first time I saw it. Rather remarkable little creatures...
