PRODUCT STORY
You needn't wait for a special supper to bring out the heirloom silver when you can make your everyday tablescape enchanting with Michelle Ciarlo-Hayes' elegant table runner. Using her keen photographer's eye, Michelle highlights the loveliness of everyday objects, such as ripe fruit, classic toys, and these gently patinated utensils that bear the effects of time beautifully. To create this piece, she unearths keepsake antique silverware from the depth of her dinette drawers and prints these tastefully aged utensils onto a sturdy canvas of fringed cotton twill. Printed, stitched, and frayed by hand in the USA.

Michelle Ciarlo-Hayes uses detailed photographs to create uncommon tabletop pieces like this stunning runner. If you were in the market for new dining room decor, would this design be in the running?

I love trompe l'oeil, but I agree that runners seem dated.

I wouldn't use this a table runner. I'd use it as artwork in my kitchen or my dining room.

It is not appealing to me to sit down for a meal and see silverware that is tarnished spread out along the length of the table.

I have much the same thing printed on paper and love it -- it's different in both design and the fact that it is on paper. I can't say I wouldn't buy it on fabric, but I doubt it -- especially since you can only spot clean or dry clean. That is so contrary to the paper that came on a roll and could be cut to the desired length, used instead of place mats or down the center of the table, and then tossed or recycled when no longer needed.

I think this is a lovely idea! Perfect alternative to a table cloth. You could use this on a side table and coffee table too...just wonderful and so unique!

These runners are lovely. I bought one recently at a fine arts craft fair and love it. I use it on my dining room table as a decoration with a bunch of silver patina-ed sugar bowls and creamers with fresh flowers. Could also be used as a kitchen curtain with clip rings and a tension rod. Some people just have no imagination...

How gorgeous and totaaly cool. My wife would totally love this. She has been searching for a table runner and this one would be perfect - she'd enjoy the art and I like that it is not too feminine.

I think it's lovely. A nice mix of vintage/modern decor look. I can easily picture this in a lovely white dining room with a rustic table and maybe a green plant. One of my favorite "clean" design looks without being too contemporary!
