These Salvaged Slate Leaf Pieces make lovely coasters or centerpieces, thanks to their unique shape and rich color. Take a look at the product story on the left to learn more about how the slate is reclaimed, then let us know what you love most about this design.

I always wondered if anyone used the items that were taken off a house. I would love to read that there are more people out there that is reusing materials from construction sites.

love to hear that feedback! It always blow me away that home owners/roofers throw this beautiful stone to replace it with asphalt singles. Oh well, here's its second chance!

Susan: I also make other items (mirrors, frames, boards, stools, etc.) with reclaimed wood and salvaged materials that come from older houses. It's a work of love to clean these materials but totally worth it.

This looks beautiful. With granite, marble and other stone products being so popular, I think this product would be a hit.

These are beautiful! But I always feel like coasters should be absorbent, otherwise the condensation just runs off the edge, right?
