PRODUCT STORY
Surname Cycling Goods says: We love bikes, pure and simple. We also love the city we call home: New York. We strive to create beautiful components for your cycle with the heart of the city imbued in each.

All of our hand crafted wood components are made entirely from reclaimed wood sourced in NYC and upstate New York. Our designs are made from a part in the history of the greatest city in the world; they have seen the roofs of Manhattan lofts and the shores of the Atlantic, under the feet of millions who have visited the Coney Island Boardwalk. We're giving a new life to those storied boards and passing them on to you, now, to see all the corners of the City and beyond.

These wooden fenders caught our eye right away, but we were even more impressed when we read Surname's story. They're made reclaimed wood--from our very own city! Check out the product story to learn more, then cast your vote and tell us what you think about this design.

Again, wood items just don't hold up in my rainy climate -- it's beautiful now, but after years of use it won't look good.

Cool memento for those emotionally tied to Coney Island and New York...any plans to find wooden history elsewhere in the US?
