PRODUCT STORY
Resembling props plucked from a Civil War-era canteen, these iconic swill jugs enter the 21st-century as a swoon-worthy, functional sculptures in potter Daniel Bellows' hand-thrown interpretations. Taking his inspiration from a book of antebellum American antiques, Daniel reimagined and juxtaposed these rugged bottles' forms in elegant porcelain that is further softened with gray and ombre lavender and periwinkle glazes applied in brushy strokes across tactile slabs of fired ceramic. Both stand-alone art pieces and a entrancing vessels for dried flower arrangements, these slender homages to the pitchers of the past add artistry to interiors as they recall visions of saloons, sheriffs, and moonshine. Handmade in the USA.

These Handmade Porcelain Jugs make a statement on their own, but they also look lovely filled with flowers or replacing your standard carafe. Is the gray glaze more your style, or would you proudly display the purple piece?

Not really attractive and they don't look authentic.

The colors and the visible seams take away from the "antique" look.

Yummy combination of thrown and slab work, very current technique for a historical item. Love them!

No they don't look "authentic" but that doesn't mean they aren't pretty.

I like these. Could there be more colors? However I am a bit afraid to see their price. Would they be sold individually? Or in pairs? Discounts for multiples?

Thanks for voting, Emilie! These are the colors we are considering now, and they would be sold individually. What other colors would you like to see?

These would work into a modern Country decorating scheme VERY well. I'm thinking a home with gray as its predominant color continuing throughout the house in various shades of wall color, flooring
