These noteworthy links keep cuffs together with the help of two, understated sterling silver envelopes that conceal surprises for the wearer's eyes only: slide-out silver "notes" can be engraved with a birthday, anniversary date, a loved one's name, or an 8 character proclamation of your love. Handmade in Paterson, New Jersey.

The merchants want to know: What would you engrave on these extraordinary cufflinks?

These little envelopes are a great way to seal your cuffs (no licking unpleasant glue required)! We love the hidden message factor, but we're wondering what kind of love letter you'd inscribe. A date? A pet name or initials? A short and sweet inside joke? What message will you send?

They're too plain. If they had some French engraved lettering, that would be cool.

Thanks for voting, Irene. These cufflinks are meant to be engraved. The "letters" inside of the envelopes come out, and they feature personalized notes. What words would you have inscribed?

Good question! They are envelopes because they contain "letters" engraved with special messages. These are custom pieces, so you can choose what message appears inside the envelopes.

very original and good looking. I love that these can be engraved. I'd engrave my childrens birth dates - assuming you can have 2 different engravings.

What about engraving the envelope as well as the letter? Perhaps with initials? It would jazz up the links while keeping it personal.

An interesting idea but I think it's too cutesy for men.

To those who say these are "too cutesy" for men, I say, "I am a man, and I think they're pretty cool."

I love these & I would engrave something befitting & personal, I hope that you will carry them & I hope they will not be cost prohibitive. I worry I may not be able to afford them, but I love them, think they're adorable & perfect for me & my guy, seriously. I hope you carry them & at a reasonable cost.

I think they are really cute but I just don't know anyone who would find a 'significant' identification with an envelop.

We're retired - rarely dress up - have plenty of dress up accessories already if we were to need them. Also, I see no point of the envelope design on cuff links.

Hi, Julie! Glad you like the cufflinks! We're no longer including the price in our voting app. In many cases, the price hasn't been finalized yet, and it could change if the product enters our assortment, so we've decided to leave it out for now. Also, we're looking for thoughtful, design-focused feedback on each product. Leaving the price out is one way to help our voters think more about the design and functionality of each item rather than what it costs.

These would make a great gift for a mailman.

July 14, 2012 06:34:52 PM

My Goodness! These are fitting for EVERYONE who sends e-mail! And who doesn't these days? I love the idea that a special note can be engraved to put in the envelope. This would be a good gift for a groom and/or the groomsmen. Sure, cuffs requiring cuff links aren't as popular as they once were but those in upper management often attend more formal parties requiring suits & ties or even tuxedoes (unless they work for Facebook or Google LOL) so cuff links are needed by some men. I have a few blouses that require cuff links and think they could work for women, too, because they aren't oversized. Offering a monogrammed envelope would be good and class it up a bit more although sterling silver says First Class every time.
