PRODUCT STORY
Clara hand draws all designs right in her Richmond, VA apartment. These cards are made using Gocco, a hand-held Japanese printing device resembling a toy. Clara personally prints and folds each card by hand.

Clara's cards are inspired by the natural calm of the forest - its quiet beauty, the joy of its little inhabitants, and how even in our own busy lives we can find those peaceful moments for ourselves. It's her hope that, especially during the holiday season, her cards would bring that same sense of simple happiness.

We were intrigued when we learned that Clara prints her cards using Gocco. Then we saw the playful bears and we couldn't resist adding these fun cards to our semi-finals! Do they have your vote?

I like them... but I just wouldn't pay that much per card when I send out so many cards each year. :) Maybe I'll buy them when I find a money tree in my back yard.

I LOVE these cards! And the fact that some people say they're "expensive"? Psh! Clara makes each card by hand, and she's super anal-retentive so you know each one will be BEAUTIFUL!

Thanks for the feedback everyone! Regarding the pricing - handmade takes a lot. I draw my designs, make screens, cut and score cards, print them, and package them myself (and on occasion with the help of a few fantastic helper elves). I also take care to use environmentally friendly materials that are made in the US. All of this winds up costing more than some traditional cards, but it's really about taking care and being thoughtful throughout the process. I feel strongly about this not only for the things we buy, but for our lifestyles as well.

I love them, but I just can't bring myself to spend $2 each when they come in a pack. Maybe I'm just cheap.
