PRODUCT STORY
A scratched up touch screen is totally whack, yo. Give your smart phone or mp3 player a little more street cred with this old school mini hoodie. Any standard size phone or music device can be slipped in through the top opening, and the soft inner surface will help protect your electronics from scratches, bumps and the other dangers of life in the hood (or in your hip pocket). Made in China.

Fall is here and it's time to get out that comfy hooded sweatshirt. You'll be nice, warm, and contently covered, and now your phone can be, too! Would you dress your phone in this cute mini hoodie?

Thanks for the question, Seneca! There isn't a separate hole for the headphones, but you can put them through the "neck" opening in the hoodie.

I think it's a cute idea, and I'm sure the player would appreciate the soft hoodie to keep it cozy and warm ;-), but seems like it would be more trouble than it's worth to pull the player out to find a song, etc. It makes it bulkier for a purse or pocket. If it had a loop for hanging from a belt or a clip for hooking on pants, pocket, etc., then maybe it would be okay. Other than that, it's adorable. What are the color options? I also would think a slightly lower price would be better. For $16.95, I would think really hard about buying this and would probably look for another option that did have a hoook or loop or wasn't so bulky. For more like $9.95, I might go ahead and consider this.

This would be perfect for my wife, who loves (a) her iPhone and (b) hoodies. One suggestion for making it perhaps even better -- include a tie/zipper/button that turns the hood into an enclosed little headphone carrying case.

Does it support iOS Devices, I could totally picture one of these for an iPad, that doubled as a Baby / Dog Hoodie.

Cassie, UncommonGoods Community Moderator

September 29, 2011 08:42:08 AM

Thanks for the question, Carson! The hoodie is 2.76 inches long and 6.89 inches high, so it isn't big enough to fit an iPad. It will fit an iPod, iPhone, and other standard-size music players and phones.

Not all of us are Apple product users. If it can fit other products, why not use a general term like 'cell phone' to describe what it fits instead of alieniating potential customers by using a company-specific name?

What is the point? While cute, I would rather put something on my $200 ipod that will protect my investment rather than make it look cute. It's an ipod, not a human, it doesn't need a hoodie. And as others said, what a pain to have to pull it out any time you wanted to pick a new song or change the volume

Very cute idea especially for high chool and college level, but I do not like things made in China. They do not hold up. Also the price is too high for coming from there. Things are made incredibly cheaply in those countries. You could charge $5.00 and still make a nice profit. Many workers only get $1.00/day and churn out thousands. Also quality can be poor. I bought a child's outfit once and the leg was sewn together. No quality control. Poor workmanship in many cases, or things just break.
