PRODUCT STORY
Sea glass is formed when piece of glass is tossed back and forth in the sea. This process gradually wears the rough edges and makes the glass smooth. The glass can come to rest on the beach.

We walk along the beach and find this glass not knowing all it has been through. We just see the result. Life is like this. We will have ups and downs and sometimes do not see a purpose in what is happening. But the rough times in life are the times that build our character and make us who we are.

When we have times of rest when life is going relatively smoothly, we can be there for others who are being tossed in their sea of life. My sea glass jewelry speaks to the eco-conscious customer who wants one-of-a-kind jewelry.

Ida Davis' sea glass bracelet made it smoothly into round two of our Jewelry Design Challenge. Would you wear this statement piece?

Like this. This is very unique and looks like ti would pick up reflection of whatever colors you happened to be wearing.

The relative proportions of the glass and the wire make it seem like a cumbersome piece to wear.

I think it's gorgeous! It's very bold but I think it's really wearable since it's translucent.

I love sea glass and this is definitely a statement piece, but I do think it would have been more balanced had it been mounted onto a cuff style bracelet.

Kelli, thank you for your comment.Jennifer, I can see why you might think that from the picture. The curve of the glass snugs nicely on the wrist though and the simple wire holds it well.

I love how the artist used the natural shape of the sea glass - I would love to have this bracelet

The sea glass itself is beautiful, but it's too large for my taste.

The glass appears inordinately cumbersome compared to the wire.

I love sea glass jewelry, but the thin band seems too delicate for such a large piece. I'd like to see it on a model's arm and not just a piece of driftwood, to see how it looks.

My husband bought this exact bracelet for me for our anniversary and the quality is very poor. I honestly doubt the authenticity of the materials. I've worked with sea glass and would be very surprised if this is sea glass. Also there appears to have been something glued to the front of the glass and I have tried everything to no avail to remove the adhesive remains. Unfortunately I have to return this product.

I have purchased 2 sea glass pieces from this seller at local shows that I just love. I really like how she uses the glass just as it comes off the beach. I saw this bracelet in person and would have purchased it, but fell in love with a cobalt blue piece so got that instead. The R C and white underneath make me think it was an R C Cola bottle. The stories behind the pieces are fun.

Seaglass is supposed to have a softer, more worn look. This looks too industrial and harsh.

I generally like sea glass items, but this looks too bare and simple, not decorative enough, like a piece of broken glass with a string. Sorry.

I like it but I agree with Jennifer. I think if you had a picture of someone wearing it, I'd understand. I like it-but I'm not sure I'd buy it until I see it on.

The glass is a little too large and bulky, and the clear color makes scratches and flaws more visible.

Even though I thumbs up..I think that what might work better is if the wire was thicker or double/tripled so that the scale worked together better and I think if the wire was oxidized and a darker burnished color it could also hold it's won against the seaglass

Nice idea-bad follow-through.Too clunky on such fine wires.Perhaps if the placement of the glass was vertical and not horizontal,it would lay better.
