PRODUCT STORY
Growing up in a creative family, I've always loved making things. After studying fine art and sculpture in college, I moved to a small apartment in NYC and realized I could be really expressive in a small way with jewelry design.

After working with 3 jewelers, I started my business in 1997. Since then, I had a studio on the lower east side in an old car garage, a storefront in the East Village, and currently, a studio near my home on Long Island.

I approach my design with a few key elements in mind: playful, geometric, and clean. My goal is to offer a playful alternative to everyday jewelry.

I design and create each piece. I'll make a model out of wire or wax then have a mold made. When the castings are done, I solder them together and/or clean and finish each piece.

Kathleen DiResta's modern design fit right in to our Jewelry Design Challenge. What do you think of these clever interlocking pieces?

It's very unique but it reminds me of what some of the kids we termed goth in high school would have worn. Nothing really grabs your attention about it sorry. That and the price is very high in my opinion.

I find the piece very unique. I would wear them as one ring. I like the other designs as well. I would find myself playing with the fact they are 2 separate pieces. It is understandable the piece is expensive - as it appears you get FIVE rings for this cost not just one. This would have to be clarified.

The teeth bangle look childlike instead of edgy. For a piece that is more accessory/costume the price is too high. Just because something is sterling or gold, it won't make it a "jewelry" piece in any woman's collection. No one will "have" to have these for this price.

Hello Voters! It looks like we made a mistake in pricing when we added Kathleen DiResta's sterling silver rings to our semi-finals. The correct price is $250, not $385. We apologize for the error, and we'll get the estimated price updated in the copy.

Hi! Thanks to everyone who has voted or commented. The ring is really comfortable b.c what you feel when you wear it is the rounded sides of the spikes. There is a price range based on all brass ($$150), all silver or half silver/half 10k gold (the $385 price). I also do the ring w. gem stones, rectangles, or tear drops. Thx
