I believe you can buy the mini-lightbulbs at your local hardware store which means these would take all of 20 seconds to assemble!

Thanks everyone for your interest and comments!@Caitlin, they don't break because they are actually car-headlight light-bulbs, and the glass is thicker than typical household light-bulbs.

Interesting and something I might actually buy. I would love to see another photo with a model wearing these earrings. A model would give me perspective on the size.

@Deborah, true! but these are actually very sturdy and hold up after years of wear. They look classy or subdued depending on your mood!I'm also developing a sterling silver version using sterling silver chain and leaver-back hooks.I hope that gives you a bit more background!

So unique and a good price! And yes--please get them to light up! I have some Christmas bulb ones that use a small battery in the base of the bulb.

Good idea but they don't look like they are made well. The wiring looks crooked and flimsy. I don't care for the earring hook style either. I actually have made earrings like this before for my own business...

I think of those corny holiday bulbs people wear when I see these. I don't think I, personally, would ever wear them, but they look like they were constructed well and the price is good. I do like that you put a picture of the model wearing them.

@Melissa thanks for your comment! they are a tad heavier than typical light-weight earrings, but I wear them all day (for days in a row) and don't have a problem.

To all you haters I have a pair. I have had this same pair for almost a year, they have not broken and I am very careless with my things. I wear them constantly and I always get wonderful compliments and they are a wonderful conversation starter! So just get a pair! It's a bright idea!
