We love artist Cam Wilson's beautiful copper journals (click on the link in the Artist/Designer section to learn more), so of course we were thrilled to see these handmade copper coasters. Would this set look lovely on your table?

They look like those old ceiling tiles! Very cool and not to pricey!

The condensation is going to bead up and run right off those things. They won't be effective at keeping water off your furniture.

They do look cool. But unless you've found a way to make copper absorb liquid, it's not terribly helpful as a coaster.

Might use them for something else decorative, but copper isn't really an effective material for a coaster.

They look nice, and I like the fact that they are hand made. It appears that the copper is folded over.Would it scratch? The the purpose of a coaster is to protect.

Delightful gift! Copper is so under-rated.

very pretty, but would be difficult to clean with the pattern

Beautiful, but maybe cover bottom with felt to prevent scratching or bevel down the corners or have a dip around the edges to catch the water from a glass covered in condensation? Otherwise it seems impractical. They are pretty, though.

won't absorb - what do you do with the runoff?

They are pretty, but I wouldn't use them for a coaster. Metal is not going to keep in the moisture. I would, however, use them for other things - like a base for a clear votive candle holder, or small bud vase.

Would look great to put under small potted plants or vases. Price seems reasonable.

I also doubt they would absorb water!

A. To expensive. B. While pretty I do not feel these are ideal coasters. C. I would prefer them as wall art or some other kind of decorative piece....not coasters.

Can they be hung on the wall?

Thanks for the question, Louisa! These coasters are made of copper, and do not feature mountings for wall hanging. Voting is complete on this item, and we're excited to see the results. If you'd like to be notified if we carry this product, please sign up to receive an email notification.
