Durable, convenient and stink-free, the scrap happy compost bin lets you compost any and everything you can without attracting flies - and even if you don't have a yard. Just stick it in the freezer! The bin is made of flexible silicone with a stainless steel hook on the side, made to hook onto the top drawer for easy disposing from the counter top. Freeze the bin with its contents, and once you've delivered it to the compost pile, throw the bin in the dishwasher and start again. Made in China.

Is counter space a problem when it comes to your indoor composting? We love that this clever design lets you compost in the freezer.

Genius idea!

The hook is a clever idea but a regular plastic storage container with a lid will do the same job in or out of the freezer. Why does this have to be manufactured in China?

No to Made in China. When I am on the fence about buying something, the deciding factor is where it was made. When I see "Made in China", it is VERY easy to not buy the item.

This will not work to keep smells down. Smells are transported through refrigerators too.

i always freeze my scraps anyway before its time to compost as there is NO smell whatsoever (frozen, not breaking down). This is a much nicer way to keep them together than a plastic bag. The counter clean up feature is neat too!
