Sandy was playing elephants with Kiefer earlier that day swinging her arm in front of her nose while showing him a picture of elephants. Kiefer just started giggling. He just loved elephants. But when the images were upside down on his shoes, he just could not process that what was on his shoes were elephants. Sandy, an engineer with a hobby in shoe-making, decided to take matters into her own hands. So she designed a line of shoes from a child's vantage point. Each soft-soled shoe features easy-to-use velcro flaps to help parents with the sometimes frustrating shoe routine. The images face the child and keep them entertained during the process, while also providing a learning experience between parent and child. Handmade by artisans in Peru of recycled micro-suede fibers, recycled fleece fibers (lining), and PVC-free and Phthalate-free TPE (soles).
