I got this for an additional gift for an 11th wedding anniversary, steel. It fit the bill being steel and is a nice piecefor the money, however there are better airators on the market. It does make the streams but not bubbles, and that is what does the job. If you decant into a wide neck where the streams do not touch the sides this works great, most decanters are slender at the neck so the wine tends to run smoothly down, looks cool but does not do a spectacular job of airation.

The product is good worth its value.

The nicest wine funnel out of several we've tried- with a lustrous finish and nice weight. Decants wine beautifully, from a $2.99 pizzeria "half carafe" (our nightly favorite) to the most elegant decanter. The bowl is larger than most funnels making it easy to fill, and the eight holes are just large enough to allow a comfortable flow rate. The removable mesh screen is full sized and easy to clean. A great gift--your friends will want their own!

This is a great tool that I use in conjunction with my decanter - it's saved us from gritty bits in the bottom of our wine glass or missing out on that last delicious sip! I recommend. The only thing i wish was that it fit inside the wine bottle for putting wine back into the bottle... (my decanter has no stopper), or to rest it once you're finished using it. But it would have to have a very skinny stem to do that... I give it a solid A grade.
