Jackie Kaufman

Jackie Kaufman has spent much of the last 20 years as a multiple retail store owner. She has traveled all throughout the United States being the buyer for products these stores carried. During this time she took a 2 year course in Jewelry Casting and found her true calling, creating jewelry that is both organic looking and funky. She loves all aspects from the carving of each piece in wax to the melting of metals. She purchased all professional equipment, and set up a studio. Closing all of her retail locations, Jackie was able to make jewelry casting her full time profession. Her jewelry line has evolved in a very personal way. Inspired by her customers, she is able to have a connection with each one when creating her line of fingerprint and pet jewelry. While enjoying her current success, Jackie hopes to expand her designs including more pieces with gemstones and gold while still keeping her personalized style.

          Comments about ZIP TIE RING:

My fiancee gave this to me but it turned my finger green! The green didn't come off for several weeks. The "silver" started to flake off after a couple wears.

I also shared this with my close friends and really they thought this was so silly.

This is wicked awesome! I would totally buy it... if it wasn't $65.

Great idea..I think it is a very fair price for such a unique ring!

Love the idea, not so much the price as I wouldn't wear this ring very often. Maybe you can make it out of cheaper materials and have the option to purchase those as well?

No real style to it, and it seems like crud would collect in the ridges.

Come down on the price about fifteen dollars, and every techie nerdy IT professional will be buying them as promise rings for their special loves!

It looks to me like someone just dipped a zip tie in silver plate. Seems lame.

Let's not glorify pieces of disposable plastic that smack of bondage.

I am a sucker for creative jewelry. This is so clever - easy to wear - a conversation piece. Anyone who works in construction would love this.

I would have concern about the ring getting snagged on either clothing or blankets, etc. If it were $20 less I would consider it. The style is unique.

It's looks like silver plated zip tie. And the sizing is very limited.

Sizes 4 and 5 would be super cool to have, too!!

CUTE!!! But under $50 is more reasonable for a sterling ring. Unless it was custom fitted.

It is unique, and I like the inspiration. I would pay $20, since it's silver.

Hello, Voters! Voting on this item is almost complete, but there's still time to share your feedback!A few voters have commented on the estimated price, so we just want to provide a little more information on how this ring is made.Although it is fashioned after an actual zip tie, it is actually solid sterling silver (which is currently going at around $42/ounce). It is handmade with skill and care by Florida artist Jackie Kaufman, so keep in mind that Jackie needs to buy the silver and provide herself with a wage in order to produce these unique pieces. So, do you think this ring is bound to enter our assortment?

Love the creativity. Wish the price was a little less.

          Marie

A little boring. One would have to have a personal connection with zip ties.
