Office Hardware

Get desk accessories that get the job done. This rough and tough desk caddy and pencil cup are handmade by artist Fred Conlon from reclaimed tools and metals. The pencil cup consists of a metal cup affixed on a tripod made of pliers in a very raw and gritty manner. The desk caddy combines wrenches, rusted metal and a large nut and bolt to create a business card or sticky note holder and scotch tape dispenser. Conlon applies his raw and rugged welding style to these inventive and interesting pieces that will definitely toughen up your desk area. Handmade in Utah. Sold separately.

Fred Conlon

Raised in Colorado, Fred Conlon lives now in Salt Lake City, Utah, where he makes garden sculptures out of recovered objects. For his helmet sculptures, he uses real recovered World War II helmets. "It is very satisfying to transform something once used in war into a peaceful garden decoration," he says. His work has been featured in Niche Magazine, the Salt Lake Tribune and HGTV. What would he be if he weren't an artist? "Happy...just kidding!" he answers. "I can't imagine doing anything else."
