This eye-catching wooden cuff weaves together contemporary style with a respect for the natural world. The interlocking bands get their distinct colors not from artificial dyes or paint, but from the varieties of wood that are used: Hickory and African Rosewood. The bracelets flex to slide onto your wrist, and naturally relax with the warmth of your body to provide the perfect fit. The wood is finished with three coats of tung oil, and given a protective coat of carnauba wax. Designer Henry Wischusen uses woven bands of veneer both for their striking beauty and because the thin slices are a more efficient use of a natural resource than carving away at a block of wood. Handmade in Peachtree Corners, Georgia.

• Wipe with a damp cloth or clean with any wood cleaner. May be treated with any type of oil finish to restore luster, but we suggest tung oil.

Henry Wischusen

Henry grew up on the rocky coast of New England surrounded by a great wood working tradition. In his youth, he made all kinds of things in wood, from tiny sculptures to boats. Upon leaving the corporate world after 35 years of service, Henry returned to his passion of crafting things from wood but with a new sustainable perspective. Working with delicate wood veneers, he is able to present all the beauty of the wood at the same time maintaining his reverence to the forest. See all creations.
