In a world of plastic and metal, my products offer a breath of fresh air; providing functionality in beautiful solid cherry wood. Like any artist, I look for inspiration in the world around me. I love visiting nearby museums, walking in the woods, and thinking up new things to make that are useful, beautiful, and make people smile. I was born in the mountains of rural Pennsylvania, just a few yards away from my dad's wood shop. He started making wooden spoons before I was born, so I grew up watching his business grow. When I turned five, I started oiling spoons, by six I was packing orders, seven answering phones, and at eight I got to work in his booth at a craft show for the first time. And I loved all of it! After completing my B.A. in History, I spent some time working part time jobs, but nothing ever felt like the right fit. I filled my spare time coming up with ideas of things to make. Though my days are never filled with as much imagining as I wish, I wouldn't trade places with anyone! I am proud of what I make, and I am excited to share my ideas with you.
