From a flat wooden board to a fully functional basket, this cleverly designed serving dish makes a striking centerpiece. Artist Ritchie Wagas was born in the Philippines where his community encouraged him to utilize the area's natural resources. Inspired by the woods around him and a very real need to save space, his innovative collapsible basket design took off in his home town in the Philippines, where local artisans continue to help produce this piece. Handmade in the Philippines.

The community enjoys the fruits of nature, and at the same time, it preserves and protects its sustainability.

With the availability of wood resources, and the need for space saving things in the house, a concept is born to create "anything collapsible in wood"

The wooden collapsible baskets were born, and are now popularly known all over the world as "Magic Baskets". As a result, it provided a livelihood for so many families in Compostela, Cebu, Philippines since 1998
