Liza Shtromberg

Liza Shtromberg creates universal, organic and inspiring pieces of jewelry. She loves the cultural and historical implications of jewelry, as it has been a craft across centuries and borders. Her work is simple and meaningful, something to be treasured and something for the everyday. She tries to keep her work classic, personal and varied. From simple silver to African-inspiration to East-Indian influence. And her jewelry is just as interesting as her life has been.

Shtromberg was born in Moscow and raised in both Russia and a small port town in Israel. She immigrated to Los Angeles with her family at age 16. This trilingual artist dabbled in jewelry design as a means of self-expression. Her father was a driving force in her development; he is a stonecutter and cameo designer. He owned a jewelry gallery in Israel, where she assisted him. She first sold her work on the streets of L.A., but she was always drawn to raw materials like that of Africa and East India. Some of her clients include Rachel Weisz, Nelly Furtado and Kiefer Sutherland, but Shtromberg avoids trends and instead focuses on bringing out the universal human spirit in all her work.
