Upcycled Wine Barrel Chair

The Perfect Sipping Chair

Any wine barrel must be flawlessly constructed to provide the perfect aging conditions for the wine it holds. And these chairs, made from reclaimed wine barrel staves (the bent planks that make up the barrel's sides), are built to provide the optimal sitting conditions. Sturdy yet relaxed, these chairs are perfect for sipping a glass of wine or reading your favorite book. Each is gently aged and patinaed by the affects of both time and wine, so no two are the same. Handcrafted by artisans in Texas.

Comments about Upcycled Wine Barrel Chair:

Ordered this for a Christmas present to celebrate 25 years together. It was a huge hit. The piece is very heavy and beautifully crafted. We have it sitting in front of the stone wall to our wine cellar and it makes a lovely accent piece to the area.

    Service and delivery comments:

I hate to be the one guy to complain about early delivery...but that really screwed up the entire gift. I explicitly mentioned, several times, during the phone order process that I did NOT want the item delivered for Christmas. I even asked, if, since I was ordering within shipping window for Christmas, maybe I'd be safer waiting a few days to place my order, to alleviate any confusion with the holiday rush. I was told to not worry, it would be delivered as requested, on 12/27 or 12/28.

That was clearly not the case, and I saw no notation anywhere on the order, ensuring delivery as the customer requested. Delovery on 12/23 was exactly what I did not want, and it complicated Christmas, and wasted the anniversary (12/29) surprise.

Yes...we like the product fine, but I am still smarting from this gaffe, and would appreciate some recogntion of it. I don't yet have any desire to review the product, because the service fell so flat.
