E-mail Sack
Neither rain, nor sleet, nor gloom of night shall prevent you from toting your favorite e-reader along wherever your travels take you. Handmade from repurposed mail sacks, these sturdy, canvas cases deliver edgy style to your iPad while protecting its delicate surface with a gentle ultrasuede. The ultrasuede is collected from companies with remnant scraps. An additional riveted pocket provides a perfect place to clip thumb drives and coil cords so you can recharge in a flash without going postal rummaging through your bag. Made in Mexico.
Due to the upcycled nature of the materials the rivets, graphics and worn look of these accessories may vary.

I do like this product idea, but believe it's too expensive for being just a canvas iPad cover.

NOT EVERYONE HAS A FRICKIN' iPAD!!!! I'm growing extremely weary of the assumption that we all like to overpay for underpowered Apple tech items, just because "everybody" has them. Some of us aren't lemmings, fer cryin' out loud. Having ranted about all of that - if it has dimensions that work, calling it a "notebook/notepad/tablet" case would make it more approachable for those of us who haven't drunk the iPad Kool-Aid.

i like the look of it, but i also don't have any apple stuff, and i wish everyone stopped catering to that group. if this fit my netbook, i'd consider it if it were cheaper. but i got a netbook so it's lighter, and this looks like it might weigh almost as much as my computer!

Thanks for your great feedback on this upcycled canvas case! This case is considered an iPad case because of the size (10.5 inches long x 8.25 inches wide). Although it is too small to hold a standard laptop, it can be used with smaller devices, such as netbooks.

I love uncommongoods! BUT it seems like many of the new products are going towards the expensive side. Unfortunately "cute" and "creative" will only take you so far...it also has to be affordable!

From Mexico? Is that considered USA now?

Too expensive. Not an Apple product owner. It's made in Mexico.
Deborah
overpriced.

We're super excited about all of the great feedback that's coming in, and with a few days left to vote, we hope the comments keep on coming! The chief designer at the company that makes these upcycled cases shared some feedback too. Tiffany commented on the canvas mail sack tote (also in our voting app this week) to explain that the estimated price includes the cost of cleaning the repurposed materials and getting the canvas ready for use, and the cost of providing fair wages to the artisans that make each bag by hand. Would you store your iPad in this fun case?

Very very clever. Awesome looking! And iPad or iPod or anything to do with "i" is always expensive...your iPad wasn't cheap, so why not protect it with something good?? I think this is great.

What I like is that no one would suspect that an ipad would be in there. I would buy one

Recycled canvas sack, made in Mexico. $55? I think not.

Again, like the idea, though pretty boring to view. Add some color perhaps? Also the price ... bring it down.

Pros: upcycled, machine wash and love the pouch for storing cord and such.Cons: Made in Mexico? Really? It's a little too expensive and may be more appealing if relabeled so as not to limit this to being an iPad case if it also fits netbooks and possibly other eReaders.

Well, no one would suspect anything expensive to be in this case.I agree with Lisa; stop catering to the "I-whatever the newest thing is" owners.

Not very special or uncommon, and overpriced. And do you carry anything made in the US?
