Created using a symbolic combination of polished stones, Ana Sheldon's totem earrings possess heartfelt messages. Along a sterling silver spine, the artist stacks 4 semi-precious stone beads representing different aspects of creativity, strength, and blessings. Made in USA, Italy, and Russia. Beads are from companies in California and New Mexico, but are imported from all over the world.
Blessings (left) - this totem contains Wood, Ocean Japser, Carnelian, and Turquoise which combined have characteristics for appreciation, ambition, and good fortune.
Strength (middle) - contains Labradorite, White Jade, Onyx, and Rutilated Quartz which combined have characteristics for focus, strength, and luck.
Creativity (right) - contains Wood, Picture Jasper, Blue Lace Agate, and Apatite which combined have characteristics for creativity, calming, and acceptance.

- To clean, use dish soap. To polish, use a polishing cloth. Do not use jewelry "dips" (the oxidation may be compromised.)
Ana Sheldon
As a child, Ana Sheldon was already using beads to create simple jewelry, and she never lost her love of the medium as she grew older. She studied metalsmithing and jewelry design at Illinois State University, and now she uses those advanced skills to combine metal and beads in new and distinctive ways. I don't understand the metal backing. They would be much nicer without that such a big piece of metal behind the beads, allowing them to have some movement.

I don't like earrings that are that long, and you should be able to see the stones from all sides....the backing makes them to dark

Oh, the secrets of the earth abound! I would choose Blessings for the deep color tones...and Creativity for the characteristics...and what the heck...who doesn't need a little Strength now and then?
