Our story begins with 10-year-old Rayne, a city girl whose number-one hobby is tending to her rooftop garden. From seed, to sprout, to full-grown vegetables, Rayne loves her veggies so much that she even gave them names! She named her brawniest broccoli Brian Broccoli, her most super carrot Colby Carrot and her brightest eggplant Erica Eggplant. But one day, as Rayne was tending to her plant friends, she heard a crack, crash, and boom! Suddenly, the clouds went from marshmallow white to menacing gray. She ran indoors as fast as her legs could take her, and just as she got inside, a huge bolt of lightning struck her beloved greenhouse and, to Rayne's surprise, her plants sprang to life!
