Let the Sun Shine In
"Live in the sunshine, swim the sea, drink the wild air." -Ralph Waldo Emerson
As the sun travels across the sky, its journey reminds us of our own passage through life. Inspired by Emerson's quote, Erin Pelicano made this simple yet stunning tribute to our star as an austere celebration of a life lived basking in its glow. Possessing a delicate yet industrial appeal, hand-hammered silver, brass, and copper "suns" suggest brilliant rays as the thin stack dangles from a polished sterling silver chain. Handmade in Maryland.

Inspired by a Ralph Waldo Emerson quote, Erin Pelicano's necklace reminds us to celebrate the simple pleasures in life. We love the combination of metals and the delicate yet industrial look of this piece. What do you love most about Erin's design?

This looks too much like gears. I see mechanics, not sunshine. I like the design itself, just not how it's being marketed.

I really really like this! Just one question--about how big is the pendant? Thanks!

Great question! We updated the product story to state that the circles are about .75 inches in diameter. When you're actually wearing the necklace the circles won't spread out as shown in the photo. Instead, they will all hang together. We're working on getting an alternate image of the necklace on a model.

It looks too mechanical for my taste.

Doesn't really look like a sun

I love it except one thing: In real life, those "suns" will bunch up due to gravity. If it was altered to hold them in place in a staggered pattern like the photo, I'd be interested.

I really like the rustic charms and if the price is right I would buy it.

These remind me of the sprockets my old band teacher gave us on strings, telling us we were all parts of the Green Machine. If I wanted to recreate that, I could do so at almost no cost.

All of your chains look cheap but I really like the original jewelry on the chains

Would like to see the "suns" bigger and look more like a sun. Also, make the chain more substantial so it won't break in an hour, as it looks like it could now.

I would totally buy this!

I would like it if it stayed the way it appears when worn. I like the design and the s colors.

Love the new interpretation of the sunshine. Very now. Super cute. Nothing like it. Love it!

I agree with the others who say this appears to be more mechanical instead of like sunshine. Most of all, I dislike the fact that Cassie stated the three rings would not stay spread apart as shown, but rather would crowd together. I feel like it loses the beauty it has if it'd do that. Not for me.
