After falling in love with indigenous textiles and the South American communities who made them, Harper Poe turned her passion into a sustainable business, promoting social change for women in Bamako, Mali. In their neutral, feminine accent cushions, lithe cotton string bands are hand-crocheted over a downy, organic cotton pillow base. Making woven artworks, like these pillows, helps provide this collective of over 100 women work, effectively decreasing poverty through crochet, embroidery, weaving, and sewing. Handmade in Mali.
