The Fun Gene
For mad scientists young and old alike, this highly-evolved game requires players to build, adapt and outsmart the gene pool by building the mightiest micro-organisms on the board. Race to place cytoplasm pieces around organism tiles while deploying toxin attacks and viruses to thwart your opponents. Once you've spawned complete organisms, harness chain reactions to win the game. Educational and competitive, this board game for three to seven players is bioengineered for family fun. Designed in USA; made in China.
Game includes 80 cytoplasm tiles, 100 petri dish tiles, 40 organism tiles, 64 resistance tokens and easy-to-follow instructions. Ages 10+

The price is right for a game like this. What a fun way to incorporate science into a game!

too difficult for the majority of families - smart or not!

I like the idea but it seems very complicated and like it would take a long time to get right.

This game is fun; I've played it. It is not difficult to learn and you don't need to be a science nerd to enjoy it.

This looks like fun. Is it for adults?

A bit too "smart". Some scientist guys probably would enjoy. Would prefer something a bit more fun.

Giant thumbs up! I've played Strain and have to say it's one of the most riveting, entertaining games I've played. It's just a fun strategy game that happens to unfold in the world of micro-organisms--but you definitely don't need to know anything about science to enjoy it. Recommend highly!

Would be great for schools and home use but you lost me when I read it was "designed in USA" BUT .. BUT ... MADE IN CHINA!?!? No thanks!!! I would rather pay more and see it MADE IN THE USA
Janis

Would definitely buy this if it were made in the USA. Seems like an affordable fun game, but if it's designed in the US, make it in the US. Do that, even if the price goes up $5 or $10, and I'd buy it.

No possible way. I used to work in the health field. This game is horrendously pathetic and is centered around a topic that is not a game or a laughing matter.

The premise of this game is horrible! Why would you want to spawn lethal viruses and inflict toxic attacks on anyone? Since it's made in China, does the game include putting melamine in baby milk or pet food?

I definitely would have bought this game when my girls were younger, and the price is perfect.

Again...China. How do you justify these prices for things made for pennies in China??? How about MADE IN USA???

I like games, and science!
