David has captured the image of two vintage crossing guard signs. Their battered, gritty surfaces tell of a lifetime spent protecting young children from danger, yet Petr has captured their color with such vibrant intensity that they seem full of life. The messages of "Stop" and "Slow" seem directed at us – quiet voices of experience in a hectic world.

The artwork is printed to the artist's exacting standards onto lustre photographic paper in order to produce the work's characteristic sharp color and detail. The art is then framed by a Master Framer, using all archival materials to preserve the artwork's quality. Produced in very limited number, and with only a few remaining, these remarkable images can bring a deep breath of beauty, history and stillness into your life. Handmade in Winter Haven, Florida.

David Petr began crafting exclusive, larger-than-life photographic interpretations of iconic objects of our collective past in 2008. Rusted, dented and scratched items rich with patina are common topics explored under David's lens. The steadily growing body of work began with Petr's determined search for captivating objects from antique stores, flea markets, junk shops, online, and across the country. Hand-picked with an almost obsessive eye for quality, his found objects are orchestrated under the camera, often with several shots to create one final image.
