Flower Pottery

It doesn't take a green thumb to appreciate these fresh-picked mugs. They feature an oversized, offset flower that blooms out from the mug, full of sculptural detail. Each piece is a unique creation by potter JoAnn Stratakos, who hand throws the clay and paints each flower herself. Next time you feel ground down, just plant yourself in a sunny corner, cradling a warm drink in one of these mugs, and feel yourself blossom. Makes a special gift for gardeners, loved ones or perennial friends. Choose from Daisy, Poppy or Coneflower (Echinacea). Handmade in Pennsylvania.

JoAnn Stratakos

Much thought and years of experience go into each piece of pottery by JoAnn Stratakos. All pieces are original designs created and produced exclusively by the artist in her studio in the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania. They are made of stoneware clay, which has splendid serviceability and resists chipping. Each piece is hand-dipped in glazes that JoAnn has formulated. Hand-dipping requires more time than spraying, but gives each piece subtle variations and its unique character. The color and shapes are designed to compliment, not compete, with your decor and the foods being served. collection
