Underground Art

It takes the earth eons to form a stalagmite, as minerals slowly build up into tall ribbons of swirling, sparkling color. It takes glass artist Jim Loewer much less time to create his take on the stalagmite, but the result is no less spectacular. Each one is handmade from borosilicate glass, flowing with vibrant, marbleized colors. The delicate pieces are an eye-catching way to display individual blooms or wildflowers, or to simply display on its own. Handmade in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
