Dangling in the Wind

Artist Etta Kostick was raised by a family of glassblowers along the woodlands and seashores of Massachusetts. Influenced by these scenic environs, tribal imagery, and the stately architecture of her current hometown, Chicago, she utilizes stained glass and malleable soldered metal to create refined geometric pieces that possess a touch of fantasy.

These striking dangling earrings and their matching pendant make an ethereal statement when paired with any outfit. The artist uses classic techniques to make each frosty, blue-green pane and frames and each tilted square with metal soldered into delicate curves and angles. Each unique piece evokes a range of influences, from tribal imagery, to medieval costumery, to decomposing trees and moss. Handmade in Chicago.

Etta is compelled by glass in its many different forms and applications. She grew up in the woods and by the seashore in Massachusetts, in a family of glassblowers.
