Art, Condensed

Taking his inspiration from Andy Warhol's iconic soup prints, artist Drew Hine decided to create his own twist on an ordinary object. By taking the well-known, ridged silhouette of the soup can and reinventing it as a sculptural series of tumblers, Drew created neon homages to this Pop Art classic. As playful as they are beautiful, his vivid glasses look great whether they adorn your table or they display fresh-snipped blooms on your desk or windowsill. Hand-blown in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Drew Hine's passion for glass began when, as a Ceramics major, he found himself in a glassblowing class. From the start, form and color have been focal points of his work. Drew enjoys exploring the simplicity and perfection of vessels - striving to create tall, beautiful forms. His most recent work incorporates bright, vivid color, yet maintains the sleep, modern shapes that are his signature.

Drew resides in Pittsburgh's South Side where he runs his private glassblowing shop with his wife Jeannine.
