  • the story

Feather Your Nest.

"My mom often asks me, 'How did you learn to make all this stuff?' My answer is often, 'lots of mistakes,'" artist Margaret Taylor confesses. With her studio, Dancing Dryads, Margaret has made it her job to change the fate of discarded objects. Inspired by the fundamental beauty of paint and texture, she finds stunning ways to rescue these materials and transform them into artful, upcycled home and garden accents. Both sweet and silly, backyard birds are Margaret's muses in this lovely piece where she unites irregular pieces of painted and unfinished wood into the iconic shape of a perched bird atop a stylized piano key. This one of a kind art piece is sure to flap into the hearts of art and music lovers alike. Handcrafted in the USA.

Her business, Dryads Dancing, is now in its eleventh year.

Taylor has recently started working with other artists and designers, such as Simone Wilson. The purpose of the business is to make art that is unique, affordable and available. collection
