Artist Colleen Attara draws upon the world around her to create her one-of-a-kind artwork. Inspired by her busy girlfriends who work hard to "have their cake and eat it too", she's created this sumptuous visual feast: a rich, cherry-topped cake and two glasses of wine (for sharing), surrounding a vase of spindly flowers.

Attara also draws the material of her work from her environment. The shabby chic frame is made from window scrap. The background wallpaper is painted on scrap Plexiglas, while the cake and other goodies are made from glass with layers of paint on the front and back. The brightly colored flowers are snipped from discarded plastic. Handmade in Pennsylvania.
