Beautifully Confident

At those times when you know you need to take life into your own hands, these inspiring bangles will be right there to remind you that anything is possible. They have an organic, textured form handcrafted by sculptor Jen Pleasants, who also embosses each one with an empowering quote: "She believed she could, so she did!"

A firm believer in the power of an individual to achieve her dreams, Pleasants embraces an earth-friendly philosophy in her jewelry. The precious metals she uses are all recycled, she packages them in FSC-certified materials, and she even works in a studio made from reclaimed wood, topped with a living roof with grasses and flowers. Now it's your turn to see where your own possibilities will lead. Handmade in New York.

Inscription reads: "She Believed She Could, So She Did."
Designers Note: The actual phrase appears as an "artistic interpretation" of the message. It is stamped on the ring and sometimes a word or two is blurred or upside down intentionally! The pieces are organic in nature and the artist is celebrating the beauty in the simplicity and imperfections.

Notes
Sterling Silver jewelry stays clean if you wear it every day, but keep perfume and hairspray away from it. For cleaning use a simple jewelry polishing cloth and store your piece in a plastic zip-lock bag perhaps even with an anti tarnish strip. If you still notice tarnishing, try putting your piece in a glass bowl lined with tin foil. Dust the piece with baking soda and pour hot water on top. Use a soft toothbrush to remove it from the water and your silver should be shiny. Rinse off any remaining residue. To restore the shine on gold plating very gently rub with a non-abrasive jewelry polishing cloth.

Jen Pleasants

Northern California designer Jen Pleasants hand sculpts her creations in a renovated goat shed topped with a living roof. Surrounded by crystals inside and redwoods outside, she creates pieces that are an external reflection of the beauty, magic and power that we each possess on the inside. The organic nature of her designs coupled with the inspirational messages behind them, gives each piece a one-of-a-kind, meaningful feel.

Jen's jewelry emphasizes positive affirmations, invokes 'girl power' and is crafted with recycled metals and ethically sourced stones. Jen and her business partner, Amy Salisbury hope that by wearing their jewelry, people will be inspired to 'show the love' for themselves, for others and for the Earth.

"I feel enormously blessed to be able to work combining my love for sculpting with my love for making jewelry. My hope is that people are inspired to "Wear This and Do Great Things!"
