This remarkable necklace is handcrafted from reclaimed sari dresses from India. The fabric, with its rich colors and unique combinations of patterns, is cut into strips and then knotted around a series of wooden beads. This is done by a women's collective in a poverty-stricken area of India, enabling its participants to work toward economic self-sufficiency. Because of the upcycled nature of the materials, each handmade necklace will have unique variations in color and pattern. Handmade in India.
