I've always loved to play in the mud! I love the feel of the Chesapeake Bay mud squishing between my toes, I relish time in the garden, I've spent endless hours entertaining the kids (yeah, right!) with Play-Doh; and I love making pottery. I also love to learn and enjoy a challenge. In clay, I have found an art form that offers endless possibilities for creative expression, learning and overcoming technical challenges. I love to create functional pieces that serve multiple purposes, and I especially enjoy the challenge of designing a piece that is stylish, durable and aesthetically beautiful. The work involved in refining my making and glazing processes so each piece comes out of the glaze firing ready to provide years of service is incredibly gratifying. Every time I open the kiln, I'm like a child on Christmas morning because I put a little of both heart and soul into each pot I make. Nothing pleases me more than sharing my pottery creations with others, and it is my sincere hope that you will cherish using my pots as much as I treasure making them for you!
