The Beauty Of Tradition

Tamara Baskin's captivating swirls of ribboned glass create an elegant setting for ceremonious bites of matzo on your first night of Passover. Hand-fused with a Hebrew blessing and lush, celebratory shades of green (symbolic of renewal), its glossy frame offers the perfect space for spreads of square matzo (and even the Afikomen, before it disappears). A beautiful way to bring tradition to the Passover table. Tamara's art lives on through her family, who continue her handmade glasswork in Florida.

Tamara Baskin

Born and raised in Israel, Tamara Baskin began her career in art after moving to the United States.

A self-taught artist with more than twenty years experience working in several media, she spent the last years of her life working with fused glass--with emphasis in creating elegant yet functional designs to celebrated Jewish life.

Her work has been featured in American Style, Niche magazine, the New York Times Best of Season issue, Boca magazine and many other local media. Her American Flag Menorah is on display in the White House, and her Israeli Flag Menorah was a gift to former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani.

Tamara passed away in 2007, but her family continues to preserve her memory through carrying on her art.
