Reptilian Charms

Keep your keys company with these weighty reptiles handmade from recycled steel bike and motorcycle chains. Due to the fluidity of the chains, these little creatures slither and creep when your play with them. Keyring slips off easily for display purposes. Handmade in Kentucky by Richard Kolb.

Made in

A lifelong resident of Kentucky, Richard Kolb is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky and an accomplished metal sculptor. He uses mostly scrap and recycled parts to create metal birds, critters, dogs and cats. Some of the materials he uses include garden tools, car parts, farm implements, bicycle parts and mufflers.

"I think these sculptures are a great way to contribute to the good of the environment," Richard says. "They save rejected metal parts from ending up in a landfill and they beautify homes and yards everywhere!"

"I believe the things that make us happiest in life are not always the necessities, but usually the things that we do not need."

Although this item is adorable, it is alot heavier than it looks. I bought it for a gift but now I am second-guessing whether I should give it or not.

              Comments about Reptile Key Ring:

I am a cyclist, so I thought this was great until I actually put it on my keychain. It's heavy and the "legs" get the keys stuck in them all the time. I will end up attaching this to a zipper on my gymbag because it's cute, but not great on a keyring with several keys on it.

I bought two of these little snake keychains, one for myself and one for a friend. We both love them. For such a simple item, it has an awful lot of personality.
