Help light the path to Gulf Coast wildlife relief with this fundraising night light. Devastated by the effects of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on local shore birds, Florida-based husband and wife team Vawn and Mike Gray answered with an artistic call to action in partnership with UncommonGoods: $3.80 from the sale of each Louisiana Brown Pelican night light and the Sandpiper night light benefit Tri-State Bird Rescue and Research.

Fused from post-consumer glass bottles rescued before reaching the landfill, each handmade night light is kiln formed in Florida.

Fueled by a tireless team of on-call biologists, veterinarians, chemists and volunteers, Tri-State Bird Rescue & Research has been rehabilitating injured, orphaned and oiled wildlife since 1976.

Due to the handmade and recycled nature of these items, each is one-of-a-kind and will vary slightly.

Vawn and Mike Gray

For 20 years, Vawn and Mike Gray created and sold original lines of fine arts and crafts. But they were always haunted by the environmentally wrong processes and materials that were involved with it--Aerosol spray cans, toxic glazes, energy sucking kilns, miles of bubble wrap and mountains of Styrofoam peanuts. To top it off, they would load it all into a one-ton, gas-guzzling truck and travel across the state and the country to different exhibits.

In the Summer of 2007, while watching a world wide broadcast of the "Live Earth" concert, they were inspired to change their ways. On that weekend they launched Reborn Glass: Artful reminders To Conserve. See all creations.
