Sweetly Swirled

This vase can't help but catch your eye. The smooth line of its silhouette is filled with an organic, irregular surface pattern that draws in your gaze. The secret of its magnetism is that the ceramic structure is covered with countless, tiny, coiled strips of reclaimed paper. Not only is the shape of each coil slightly different, but also variations in color and texture, and lingering bits of typography, all provide an elaborately detailed treat for the eye. Around the mouth of the vase is more coiled paper, painted white. While it makes a stunning statement on its own, the entire vase is also finished with a water-repellent coating, allowing it to hold your favorite fresh blooms. Three felt feet underneath protect your tabletop surfaces from wear. Made in Vietnam.

This visually-striking recycled paper vase looks lovely on its own, and is extra sweet when filled with a few fresh flowers. Hold your cursor over the image to see a close-up of the honeycomb detail, then let us know whether this patterned piece has your vote.

I personally have a issue with large vases which can hold only a few stems. There a only been a few instances where I felt these was done aesthetically well.

I have seen items embedded with reclaimed paper. The close-up is very interesting but we all have way too many vases!

Don't like the vase shape

I wonder whether it feels creepy or whether you have to be gentle so you don't bend the rolled up paper. Love the concept. What happens if you accidentally get water inside one of the coiled strips?

Wendy

Not crazy about the shape. I agree with the other poster about small openings on big vases being impractical. Cool outer covering though.

Great shape! but paper?

I love large vases, especially with small openings. This would be perfect in my office with just a beautiful sprig of evergreen in the middle of winter.

It's just not that attractive! And I find it odd that such a large, wide vase, can only hold a few flowers.

No matter hpw much you sit and botther to use a small brush to "dust" this item, it will still hold a mass amount of dirt and dust in those honeycombs.

Very striking on its own ... almost like a gourd if it is light for its size ... I really like it!

Sandra

Too big for most of us but I love the idea.

I love this unique vase! It is perfect for fresh flowers that need a lot of water. Also perfect for people like me who sometimes forget to water regularly.

my daughter picks me flowers from outside all the time - a bud vase that is as lovely as this is ideal for those moments - currently we use a little hand thrown vase we picked up - she knows it is meant for her flowers!

My kitchen counter is Paperstone. I'm all for re-purposing and I think this is very cool.

I think this is fantastic. And my bee-obsessed eco-sister would love it!

Megan
Vote: Thumbs down!

I love pretty things, but a huge vase that only holds a few flowers because of such a skinny neck seems silly.

AmyLee

Beautiful, but the cost would b my deciding factor for me buildp

Penny

I love this vase. Assuming the water-repellent coating would also make it easy to clean.

A cool idea, and the recycled paper curling really does look interesting, but I think the overall concept of the vase is a bit off. Plus, don't we all have way too many vases?

Linda
Vote: Thumbs down!

Flowers make it more attractive, but as a stand alone, it's boring. I personally don't constantly keep flowers in the vases. I give it a break. Also keeping it clean would be a very big chore!

David
Vote: Thumbs up!

Beautiful, as long as the price is reasonable it's a winner.

This type of vase is everywhere and it just is really common looking. Sorry!

pricing will be key.

I love this vase. I would love to have it in my home, but price would be a factor.

Was this made in a sweatshop? And are all these paints and coatings toxic?

Jennifer
Vote: Thumbs down!

I like the look, but it looks like it would collect dust in all those tiny spaces and it would be a pain to clean.

rebecca
Vote: Thumbs up!

Must have taken FOREVER to construct !

Sheila
Vote: Thumbs up!

It would actually depend on the price. I'm not all that excited about it's looks, but I like the idea that it's recycled.

Nancy
