It's a Bull Market

Each year at the festival of San Fermin, a dozen bulls are let loose and charge through the streets of Pamplona, Spain, as a crowd of young men race to stay ahead of them. Those men have to be in peak condition, with nerves of steel – but frankly, we're rooting for the bulls.

Show off your own bullish spirit with this bold, papier-mache bull head. A traditional symbol of strength, determination and prosperity, and measuring over two feet tall, this folk art creation brings a confidant energy to any room.

Not only that, the bull's gift of prosperity extends to others as well: it's produced by an initiative that employs 200 talented artisans in Haiti. Handmade from recycled materials, the form is crafted from recycled cement sacks and cardboard, sealed together using an arrowroot starch glue, and covered with vibrant, cotton fabric scraps. Comes packed in a re-usable box made from recycled newspaper. Handmade in Haiti.

Fair trade artisans working in Haiti's capital, Port-au-Prince, and in Leogane, the town most affected by the magnitude 7.0 earthquake, now work to bring money back into the communities they are struggling to rebuild.

Thanks to Aid to Artisans and the fair trade certified companies with which they work these artisans are ensured safe working conditions and given fair wages.

Comments about Recycled Paper Bull Head:

I love the bull. It's a great size and color. The juxtaposition of the bull right above my two high-end English style chairs will be brilliant.
