The Hex Best Thing
Handmade from the remnants of broken glass that artist Kathleen Plate has leftover from her other creations, these beautiful, hexagonal cuts of sparkling glass add subtle color and understated elegance to any outfit.
"I want my work to inspire people to see the things we take for granted differently, to be catalysts for conversations with strangers about how their jewelry is actually made from recycled bottles," says the English Ph.D.-turned-jeweler.
Recycled shards are expertly smoothed and polished giving them a gem-like quality. Pieces are connected and suspended on a contemporary sterling silver chain. Handmade in Georgia.
Due to the recycled nature, each piece of glass will vary.
